The Project Presentation and Demonstration

One of the key skills that each project is designed is to assess your ability to communicate your ideas and work. As part of the evaluation, you will be asked to give a presentation and demonstration of your project to your evaluation team.

Each presentation will be scheduled between 30 and 40 minutes (to be announced), including a demonstration, if applicable and questions. All presentation rooms can be interconnected. Your supervisor and second marker will be part of the team, but you should remember that the majority of the panel will not be familiar with your project; you should take this into account when planning your presentation. Your advisor will help you structure your speech and will be ready to go through it with you in advance. The presentation is evaluated separately, but is a mandatory part of the project. The evaluation team will not assign a label for a project unless there was a formal presentation. The purpose of this presentation is to know exactly what you did and to ensure that you get a label states that it is compatible with other projects – it is not intended as an opportunity to shoot you!

Note that if you develop software or hardware on your own computer, then you have to duplicate this in college. It is your responsibility to ensure that the project is running on your computer or make your own for the presentation.
